Fishing in mountain lakes is a regular event in Leysin on Lac Aï. At the foot of Mount Aï, at an altitude of 1890 metres, the lake is an attractive spot where fishermen can make the most of their favourite pastime.
Very popular among anglers, the Aï lake can be reached on foot or by mountain bike for the more ambitious. Otherwise, the most rapid route is by taking the Berneuse cable car and then walking down to the lake (approx. 15 minutes). The site is as pretty as it is relaxing. The cries of marmots at the foot of the peaks from time to time may well interrupt an angler's concentration.
Mountain lake fishing is subject to rules and regulations and a fishing licence is obligatory.
