Safety Rules
Tobogganing, like skiing, is a risky sport. Accidents may happen, even if security rules are respected. The users of snow tubes enter this activity at their own risk and Télé-Leysin – Col des Mosses – La Lécherette SA assumes no responsibility or liability in case of accident.
Who?
- Children younger than 6 are not permitted on the snow tubes except in the Mini Park which is reserved exclusively for them.
- Children must be at least 140 cm tall to be able to use slopes 6 and 7 starting from the tower and slope 9 with the Big Airbag.
- Tobogganing is not advised for pregnant women, for people with heart problems, or with back or neck problems. People suffering any other health problem must evaluate their capacity to practise snow tubing. The staff may deny slope access to any person whose condition does not seem appropriate to practise this activity.
How?
- Gear: warm and if possible waterproof clothing, boots or good shoes, gloves, helmet. Snow tubing with ski boots is forbidden.
- Wearing a helmet is highly recommended. Wearing a helmet is compulsory for slope 9 “Big Airbag”. A limited number of helmets are available for free. A deposit will be required.
- One person per snow tube.
- Before starting a run, snow tubers must at all times wait for the preceding tube to have left the track and for the permission given by the staff.
- The cord and the blue hook must be stored inside the tube during the run.
- The correct position is: seated with your back and thighs supported by the snow tube and your legs bent in front of you. It is forbidden to slide on your belly, your knees or standing up.
- You should hold the handles tightly.
- Do not try to steer the snow tube and never use your feet or hands to brake.
- When you have completed your descent please leave the track quickly without crossing the other slopes.
- Slide difficulties range from FRISSON (easy - blue) to GRAND FRISSON (extreme - black). They are identified by a panel at the top of each slope.
- The Tobogganing Park is reserved for snow tubes. The use of any other equipment (luge, sled, bob, plastic bag, etc.) is strictly forbidden.
- The lift must always be taken from the bottom. At the top, snow tubers must stay in the tube until the cord is automatically released.
- The path between slope 1 and the lift is reserved for snow tubers walking up the hill.
- To access the start of slopes 6 & 7, please carry your snow tube on your shoulder to walk up the stairs.
- In order not to damage the slopes, we kindly ask you not to climb on the edges of the slopes nor to play there in the snow.
- For your safety, snow tubes may only be used on slopes open for that purpose. The lift is not a slope.
- It is forbidden to carry snow tubes outside the Tobogganing Park.
- The lift, the slopes, the start and arrival areas are reserved for snow tubers. Accompanying persons and spectators can access a terrace with a view of the park.
- Dogs must be on a leash while inside the park.
- Adults responsible for children must ensure that they understand and follow the safety rules, and that they remain under their direct supervision at all times.
- Snow tubers must follow the staff’s instructions and the safety rules displayed in the park at all times.
- The staff is entitled to withdraw the ticket and snow tube from participants who do not follow instructions or whose behaviour may be a danger to themselves or to other visitors.
- Temporary interruption of the lift or close down of the slopes does not give right to any reimbursement.
